Ed Briscoe

With over 20 years of experience in low income community investments, affordable housing, and impact investing, Ed Briscoe has founded several impact focused organizations.

He founded Weave Social Finance, LLC in 2012. Weave provides financial consulting bringing the benefit of New Markets Tax Credits to mission driven businesses and helping governmental and philanthropic organizations to design and deploy innovative funding programs for social benefit.In 2014,

Ed founded Impact Charitable, a 501c3 offering donor advised funds that are 100% invested in impact in both public and private markets. Under Impact Charitable, he also co-founded the Left Behind Workers Fund, which has deployed $38 million in direct cash assistance to those most impacted by the pandemic.In 2021, Ed co-founded the Colorado Housing Accelerator Initiative ("CHAI") to provide custom designed debt and equity capital for middle income housing across the State of Colorado while sharing fund level profits with tenants to helpt them on a path toward financial stability and asset ownership.

Ed has deep experience building capital stacks through the sourcing, underwriting, impact evaluation, structuring, and closing of real estate and project finance transactions. Ed has facilitated over $500 million in community development, early stage business, and affordable housing investments.Ed has a B.S. in business administration from Samford University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He currently serves as the chair of the board for Impact Charitable. Ed is also an investor and serves on the board of Knotty Tie Co., a social enterprise providing quality jobs for resettled refugees.
